What will the neighbours say?

Well, in the case of this sim, I think they’d say, “Wow.”

Because this picture is taken on one of the islands in the Sagittaria system, looking over to the new build of the cruise liner, the Galaxy – which will be our sim of the month in June. In fact, the Galaxy is rather more than just one sim- it covers (as I mentioned in an earlier post) three whole sims. This shot has us standing at the edge of one sim, and looking over to the next … and beyond.

Actually, the neighbours in this case, who you can see as tiny figures standing with me on the rock overlooking the bay (“silent, upon a peak in Darien”) think “Wow” for a different reason than most, for this delightful tropical house seen on the left of the frame belongs to Arkady Yost and Bella LaSalle, Cruise Directors for the Galaxy. And if they decide to take the slow way into work – as opposed to tp’ing across – they have a wonderful range of craft to accomplish this, ranging from a helicopter to a fully-rigged pirate ship. But even the last of this is small and frail in comparison with the mighty Galaxy.

See the red pole on this picture? That’s where the work on the infrastructure of the ship is currently going on. As the month continues, I’ll be bringing you more news of the completion of the build.

But, for the moment, let’s all just enjoy the spectacle.
