Fantasy Faire is the largest gathering of fantasy designers, enthusiasts, roleplayers and performers in the virtual world. Held annually in support of Relay for Life of Second Life, it is a ten day long extravaganza of shopping, live music concerts, DJ parties, auctions, hunts and quests, a Literary Festival, dance and theater performances, fantasy art, events and roleplaying as thousands of Second Life residents and creators bring their own visions together to support the American Cancer Society’s vision of a world without cancer.
Avatars, clothing, furnishings, gadgets and exclusive items are available from more than 200 of Second Life’s top Fantasy Creators across (usually) ten stunning shopping sims designed by some of the visionary artists behind many of the hottest spots on the Second Life destination guide. And there are other regions dedicated to performances, art, music and the LitFest, all stunning examples of fanatsy in a virtual world.
Prim Perfect and Designing Worlds have long been a part of Fantasy Faire, involved in helping to organising events, the Quest and Fantasy Faire Radio – which is now on air 24/7.
And, of course, we have broadcast Designing Worlds shows from the Faire for a number of years!
