Mea Culpa

bonsai Sometimes I goof. And I goofed in the June issue – so it’s only fair that I apologise.

Although I do a lot of photography for each issue, I don’t make a lot of ads. But this time I did make one. At the request of the store owner of Classic Antiques, Jeannie Moonflower, I created a simple ad for her. I was quite pleased with it, actually. You can see the larger version on the Flickr site, by clicking on the thumbnail to the left here.

So far, so good.  I liked it, Jeannie liked it … everything was going well.  Until I was doing layouts for the June edition.  I had a slot for the ad, but it was quite near the back, so I decided to move it further forwards among the main furniture articles (as opposed to the quiz and problem pages.

And then … I forgot to put it back in!

So, I goofed.  And I can only offer my apologies to Jeannie and, by way of recompense, show the ad here – and urge you all to visit her store.   It’s a fascinating place.  Jeannie specialises in antique furniture and, in her store, you can travel through history, as she has set out her displays in terms of their historical periods.  In addition, there’s an excellent department of children’s furniture upstairs.

I’ll be posting more about the store in the near future so … watch this space!
