Once again there’s a Treasure Hunt in this month’s edition of Prim Perfect. There are thirteen stores taking part this month – and this month you have to visit the store to discover the prim count of each of the pieces featured in the magazine. You’ll find instructions on how to find the prim count for an item on our Treasure Hunt Information page.
Today’s clue is from Jeannie Moonflower’s store, Bygone Days. Jeannie, as I mentioned in this morning’s post about Castle Island, is the talented interior designer of the castle that will be awarded as this month’s star prize.
Her skills in design and texturing are stunning – as I discussed when I wrote about a lovely washstand she had placed in the castle. Her creations are really always worth studying in depth – as is certainly true of the piece she has chosen for you to find in this month’s Treasure Hunt – the mushroom table lamp.
It is perhaps more whimsical than pieces by her that I’ve looked at before. She is playing with the notion of the shape of the shade becoming something organic, and the stand becoming the stem. What I really love here is not just the texturing but the playful eccentricity … the way the main light is echoed in the two smaller lights at the base.
To win a prize, find as many prim counts as you can, including the one for this lamp, and send the details to primperfect@gmail.com, including your avatar name and an answer to the tiebreak question – you have to complete the following sentence in 15 words or less:

The person to find the most prim counts will win – and in the event of a tie, we will use the tie-breaker.
Also: – you don’t necessarily have to find every prim count to win a prize! Just find as many as you can – by September 5th.
