Your roving reporter was given a tip to visit a Home and Garden store in Jonestown. Van’s Home and Garden, created and run by Vanya Rennahan, has a mission to bring inexpensive furnishings to Second Life.
And so I took a look around.
Vanya’s store, unlike Gaul, is divided into two parts.
The larger, outdoor section features a variety of tasteful styles of garden furniture, outdoor amenities such as gazebos, fountains, and waterfalls and even an unfurnished log cabin.
The indoor section features indoor furnishings, including pieces for living rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, and a small children’s section.
The store itself was undergoing renovation at the time of my visit. However, I did find a decent variety of furnishings for sale. The furnishings do mostly revolve around a midmarket, mundane style of furnishings. You won’t find a dragon shaped planter here, however, if you are looking for a fountain, or a couch, you may want to give Van’s a look in your furnishing endeavors.
