Some Store News for October

Prim Designs storeIn store news for October – there have been several store openings – or frequently store re-locations or redesigns – with some very impressive results. One held recently was PRrim Designs, the store on Zazi, run by Rrishanna Regina and Prad Prathivi.

I love the big open layout of the store, and the use of long walls of water to divide areas. It adds to the cool modern appeal of the furniture and the designs that are also displayed around the walls.

Rrishanna Regina explained to me, “The black and white pictures at the front of the store are some of the houses we’ve built, because we also wanted to show off our landscaping and construction skills as well as the furniture.”

Believe me, both are well worth looking at.

La Belle Vie storeThe second recent opening was that of a new designer who has come on it leaps and bounds since she started and has pulled together a very impressive store, quite amazingly soon after she started designing.

Zasa Rossini originally started trading as Bella Furniture and More, but with her move to Peachy Dunes and her new store, this is now known at La Belle Vie – and it really does offer a taste of the good life, from the manicured gardens outside to the wealth of beautiful furniture in traditional styles within.

As I’m in the UK, I had to reluctantly forgo the opening night party (6 – 8pm SLT – eek!) – but I’ve seen enough photos to gather a rather good time was had by all who attended, including the hostess!

I really loved the rich display of rugs that were laid out as a splendid visual treat, and the rugs themselves contained some stunning designs. But Caprera Island is no more; the landmark has become part of the d’Alliez chain and you’ll find a rather impressive castle and a splendid Gothic Cathedral there now instead.

But, alas! They don’t sell rugs – or any of the other range of attractive furniture that Isabella Lazarno produced.
