Autumn Treasure Hunt – Clue 3: La Belle Vie

towel rail from La Belle Vie Once again there’s a Treasure Hunt in this month’s edition of Prim Perfect. There are SIXTEEN stores taking part this month – and you have to visit the store to discover the prim count of each of the pieces featured in the magazine. You’ll find instructions on how to find the prim count for an item on our Treasure Hunt Information page.

Today’s clue comes from Zasa Rossini’s new store, La Belle Vie. It’s a fun one – as a whole section of her products are – being an old-fashioned wooden towel rail. But here the towels are not the perfectly matched ones you find on pristine towel rails. No, these are cheerfully ill-matched (and the kind you’ll find in many rl bathrooms).

I am a great fan of Zasa’s designs. She does the conventional very well (as you can see here with a classically designed sofa with Persian influences), but she also does the quirky (this lovely baking table, for example). And I definitely want her knitters’ tote bag to put beside my sofa – just the thing to keep me amused and productive on a long winter’s evening! Even here she’s paid attention to detail – the bag comes in a variety of textures: canvas, tapestry or quilted.

La Belle Vie storeMore than that – she’s making an real effort to keep her store lively and amusing, so that people will want to come back again and again. As you’ll see from her blog, she’s offering Competitions, Music and other fun activities in November, and I know from talking to her that she’s planning more for December. I do think this is an exciting development for a relatively small store with a very high standard of content – and I think, when you pay your visit to collect the Treasure Hunt clue, you’ll agree with me too!

For the treasure hunt competition, what you have to do is to find as many prim counts as you can, and send the details to primperfect@gmail.com, including your avatar name and an answer to the tiebreak question (which you’ll find in the magazine on Page 26). The person to find the most prim counts will win – and in the event of a tie, we will use the tie-breaker.Also: – you don’t necessarily have to find every prim count to win a prize! Just find as many as you can – by December 6th.
