Autumn Treasure Hunt – Clue 4: l’Utopie

cauldon from L'Utopie Once again there’s a Treasure Hunt in this month’s edition of Prim Perfect. There are SIXTEEN stores taking part this month – and you have to visit the store to discover the prim count of each of the pieces featured in the magazine. You’ll find instructions on how to find the prim count for an item on our Treasure Hunt Information page.

Today’s clue comes from Sky Everett’s store, L’Utopie. As you can see, in honour of the fact that this was our Halloween edition, this is a cauldron – but, displaying Sky’s usual attention to detail, it’s clearly far too good to save for one day of the year!

I’ve written about Sky before, and her wonderful use of textures – in fact, Sky wrote a masterclass article on how to produce texture effects for the September issue of Prim Perfect – it’s well worth a read – and well worth trying out the methods that she suggests!

My dining roomMy own dining room is stocked with Sky’s furniture, and invariably takes the breath away of any visitors. There’s a magnificent sideboard (scripted, so that the doors open and close), and in addition to the main dining room set, there’s a desk and chair and also a recliner, with a side table and lamp, where one can curl up alone (or with someone else) and enjoy a glass of Turkish tea while reading a copy of Prim Perfect.

There’s an interesting story attached to the dining room table. You won’t find it in that rectangular form in L’Utopie, although you will find a very similar oval one. Sky, you see, creates some items of furniture that can be modified (very carefully!) – and in this month’s edition of Prim Perfect, I used the way I changed the shape of the table top, while leaving the base of the table unaffected, as my example of how to edit linked and unlinked prims. You can read about it on Page 40.

However, for the treasure hunt, it’s not a table but a cauldron that you are looking for!

For the treasure hunt competition, what you have to do is to find as many prim counts as you can, and send the details to primperfect@gmail.com, including your avatar name and an answer to the tiebreak question (which you’ll find in the magazine on Page 26). The person to find the most prim counts will win – and in the event of a tie, we will use the tie-breaker.Also: – you don’t necessarily have to find every prim count to win a prize! Just find as many as you can – by December 6th.
