Weekend News from Prim Perfect

We have a winner!

Tuscan CastleThe first of our competitions (for a month’s free rental of the beautiful castle in Tuscany) ended on November 14th, and on November 15th, Alberik Rotaru was notified that he won and given a guided tour of his new estate by Prim Perfect editor, Saffia Widdershins.

Alberik was delighted – and said that he was very impressed with the beautiful work done by the five Second Life designers who worked on the castle: Dax Fergusson (who built it); Dellybean North of True North Design , who did the modelling and some of the furnishings (including the amazing bathroom), Xylo Hasp of Xylo, who furnished many of the other room, Ally Geer of Elegance in Design by Ally, who created the Red Room; and Anhayla Lycia of Treesong Designs, who created the roof garden.

We have a special blogger!

Pyter Morgridge at the Better World Island housePyter Morgridge won our star prize in September, a month’s free rental of the lovely Japanese house on Better World Island, created by Riversong Garden of Riversong Gallery & Asian Arts. He’s keeping a blog account of his discoveries on Better World Island, which you can read here, and he’s also creating an albuum of his pictures – here.

So far, Pyter has explored the exhibits Baghdad Streets and Camp Darfur, visited the Center for Water Studies (and explored the different marine environments by donning wetsuit and diving equipment) and the Gardens of Hope, where he has made his own contribution to the exhibition about the project to set up a school in Lesotho.

You can follow Pyter’s adventures here.

But there is still time for YOU to win!

Winterfell Cottage

That’s right – because this month there were TWO Star Prize competitions – which means that there is still time for you to win the lovely cottage in Winterfell Ebonshire, built and furnished by Serra Anansi (of whom I am still getting reports as to what a great landlady she is in Winterfell!).

The closing date for the competition is December 6th, 2007, and to win the star prize, all you have to do is answer the following three questions (contained in this month’s magazine on Page 18):

  • This month, our star sims are the Winterfell sims. But where does the name ‘Winterfell’ come from?
  • What is the name of Dellybean North’s store?
  • What is the name of the newest Winterfell sim?

All the answers are somewhere in the magazine so read it carefully and you will find the answers you need!

Then send your answers to primperfect@gmail.com – together with a completion of this sentence (in not more than 15 words):
“I want to live in Winterfell because …”

Mark your email subject as: Star Competition Autumn 2007. Include in the email the name of your avatar. Do NOT IM or notecard anyone connected with the magazine. The winner will be the person who answers all the questions correctly and also supplies the best tie-breaker, in the opinion of the editorial team.

There is NO cash alternative.

And still more prizes …

Don’t forget – you can also win prizes for Readers’ Letter of the Month (letters to the magazine and in comments on the blog are both eligible), the Treasure Hunt (see Page 26 of the magazine) and this month, by completing the Reader Survey (on Page 24) and entering our prize draw! And this is one competition where you don’t have to be from one particular country – Prim Perfect awards your prize wherever you are in the real world or in Second Life too!
