Once again there’s a Treasure Hunt in this month’s edition of Prim Perfect. There are SIXTEEN stores taking part this month – and you have to visit the store to discover the prim count of each of the pieces featured in the magazine. You’ll find instructions on how to find the prim count for an item on our Treasure Hunt Information page.
Today’s clue comes from Jeannie Moonflower’s store, Bygone Days. It’s a cute little piece, a prim Victorian doll. Its rounded head and long, elongated body make me think of the pegdolls that were so popular among children who couldn’t afford the vastly expensive dolls that were sold in stores. These simpler creations could be made at home from clothes pegs and then given to children to love and nurse – and the make clothes for too.
This splendid version, of course, would also make an attractive ornament for a room, and could form a talking point on the shelf of an adult avatar. And it’s hardly clothes peg size – it comes up nearly to my waist!
Jeannie has a lovely selection of nursery furniture and toys, suitable for use in a traditional family environment; I loved the toy car that solemnly trundles around, and the special beds in the stagecoach and Cinderella’s pumpkin – both of which would make play houses too.
For the treasure hunt competition, what you have to do is to find as many prim counts as you can, and send the details to primperfect@gmail.com, including your avatar name and an answer to the tiebreak question (which you’ll find in the magazine on Page 26). The person to find the most prim counts will win – and in the event of a tie, we will use the tie-breaker.Also: – you don’t necessarily have to find every prim count to win a prize! Just find as many as you can – by December 6th.
