Pinehouse, for when you want to be Cherished

When life gets stressful, I find myself visiting the serenity of the Pinehouse sim.  The teleport drops me on a wooden dock, bleached gray by age.  Running past the dock is a stream while tree-covered hills rise steeply on either side.  In the summer, there was tubing on the creek and a fast-moving water slide.  Right now, the creek is frozen over and safe for ice skating and nearby is a fire pit with cushions for reclining.  Teleports are available to locations around the sim, but for the walkers, there are delightful surprises hidden in the hillsides and along the boardwalk.
Pinehouse Pottery
Items can be purchased throughout Pinehouse, but the owner Esmee Isbell offers three distinct shops to visit.  Pinehouse Pottery is a working pottery studio built in a former mill complete with water wheel.  There is The Greenhouse which looks just as old.  Inside are potted plants and birdhouses.

The main store is called Cherished and there is a warm, rosy glow about the place. Cherished, main store

Immediately upon entering the store, a welcoming banner invites visitors to touch everything.  The lights change their brightness, the furniture will change its fabric, and the vases change sizes.  The store offers rustic furniture such as Adirondack chairs in a variety of wood stains and colors.  The wood of the chairs and tables look as if they’ve spent many seasons outside.  There is other beautiful garden furniture as well as overstuffed couches and chairs that look perfect for curling up for an afternoon of reading and watching the snow fall outside.  Personal favorites are the pictures of the forest and shore of an island in Maine and the baby quilt in greens and purples hanging on the wall.

After shopping, perhaps relax with a drink at the Riverfront Bar or find the baby grand piano just a little farther down the path.  At the riverside pianoYou might find me there, indulging in my dreams of being a virtuoso.  It’s wonderful to feel Cherished!
