Once again there’s a Treasure Hunt in the current edition of Prim Perfect. There are FOURTEEN stores taking part this month – and you have to visit the store to discover the prim count of each of the pieces featured in the magazine. You’ll find instructions on how to find the prim count for an item on our Treasure Hunt Information page.
This time we’re visiting a new designer, Patti Peregrine, and her store Over the Rainbow in DEE.
Spring is in full bloom in this sim. The grass is green and pots of flowers are everywhere as well as a cart of cut flowers. Look in the skies for the rainbow to lead you to the store and its nearby greenhouse. At the greenhouse, there are garden flags as well as plants for your vegetable garden. Inside the store, you’ll find a small card and gift shop. There are greeting cards for various occasions to which a personalized message can be added. Gift items such as a teddy bear or a basket of snack food are also available. Reflecting the name of the store, large pictures of the Emerald City from the Wizard of Oz are displayed on two of its walls. Another wall displays some very pretty art, both paintings and stained glass.
The featured item for this month’s Treasure Hunt is a stenciled birdhouse with sound. The front of the birdhouse is painted with delicate, soft butterflies and flowers. From inside the birdhouse, I hear the sounds of birds chirping. They sound a lot like the birds that wake me on summer mornings. For many people, the change of seasons from winter to spring brings the irresistible urge to work in their gardens. This item would make a great accent piece tucked among the plantings. For now, make a note of the birdhouse’s prim count and enjoy the scenery until the next clue is ready.
For the treasure hunt competition, find as many prim counts as you can for the magazine’s treasure hunt items, and send the details to primperfect@gmail.com, including your avatar name and an answer to the tiebreaker question (which you’ll find in the magazine on Page 72). The person to find the most prim counts will win – and in the event of a tie, we will use the tie-breaker. Also – you don’t necessarily have to find every prim count to win a prize! Just find as many as you can. You have until April 20th, 2008, to send in your entry.
