Summer Treasure Hunt – Clue 5: The Lair

The Summer 2008 issue of Prim Perfect magazine is now available, and with it comes another Treasure Hunt competition! This time we’re searching for items created by TWELVE talented designers. For each item, you need to visit the store, find the item, and uncover its prim count. Instructions on finding the prim count can be found on our Treasure Hunt Information Page. If you accept this challenge, you could win something from the Prim Perfect prize cabinet, generously donated by talented designers and store owners from around the grid.

For this clue, we visit the sensual region of Hearts Afyre, home of The Lair.  This market was founded by kalli and kadri Heart in February 2006 as a Gorean marketplace, but their unique style has a broad appeal.  For the treasure hunt, they asked us to search for the Prison Moon Bazi Tea Set.  It is a gorgeous pattern of delicate flowers set on a pale background with thick gold accents.  There are six pieces in the set, including two glasses.  Take a close look at these glasses.  They have the same pattern as the rest of the set, but they’re translucent with a golden-bowled spoon resting in the bottom.   To hold the pieces, the ladies of The Lair have provided a heavily decorated wooden tray.  How many prims were used to make the set?  Take a look and let us know!

While enjoying the store, I came across this substantial and striking set of shelves, the Kazbah Collection Shelving Unit.  The six shelves are made of wood with a polished metal curl on the sides of each shelf for additional support.  It is deeply carved and washed with a complex combination of colors – gold, green, red, and brown.  The attention to detail extends down to the four deeply carved feet.  Zoom in for a close look, imagining the feel of the carved wood beneath your fingers.  It’s hard to resist the urge to casually run your hand over the surfaces.

In this treasure hunt competition, we ask you to find as many prim counts as you can for each of the magazine’s treasure hunt items. Email the prim counts as well your avatar name to primperfect@gmail.com. Please also include your answer the tiebreaker question which you can find in the magazine on page 90. The winner will be the person who is closest to an accurate prim count, and in the event of a tie, the tiebreaker question will be used. Your answers are due by September 1, 2008. Please remember – you don’t necessarily have to find every prim count to win a prize! Have fun and find as many as you can. Keep watching these clues for help.
