September Treasure Hunt – Clue 5: Sofia’s Furniture

Welcome to the Treasure Hunt for the September issue of Prim Perfect magazine.  Over the next few weeks, I will be taking you on adventures across the grid, searching for FOURTEEN items offered by some incredibly talented designers and store owners.  To complete the Treasure Hunt challenge, you need to visit each store that I profile, find the featured item, and discover its prim count.  Instructions on how to find the prim count of an item can be found either on page 92 of the magazine or on our Treasure Hunt Information Page.  For participating, you may win something wonderful by one of these designers from the Prim Perfect prize cabinet.

It’s just a quick jump to our next destination, Sofia’s Furniture on Serafina Island.  Here we can shop three floors of furniture ranging from sculpty single-prim beanbags to Southwestern sofas to heavy wooden thrones fit for a gothic castle.  Sofia Standish has asked us to search for this Timber Dresser.  It’s a massive wooden piece, much larger than it looks.  The countertop is approximately chest high on me and the whole piece is at least twice my height.  The wood is intricately carved, adding interest and dimension to the piece.  Three shelves sit on either side of the mirror to hold your favorite objects, and Sofia placed a few of her small creations on it for you to see.  The bottom part of the dresser contains two large doors which swing outwards for more storage space.  How many prims does this all cost?  I’m leaving that for you to find out.

Speaking of prims, I found this low prim dining room set on the second floor.  It’s called the Red Funky Table and Chairs.  The table is two prims and the chairs are three prims each.  The chairs have dark fabric cushions and the wood of the table and chairs is finished in a black-red that absorbs light yet there is that funky angular pattern within the surface that gives the set its name.  It’s a unique set, whether you’re trying to keep your prims low or not.

To participate in the treasure hunt challenge, we ask you to find as many prim counts as you can for each of the magazine’s treasure hunt items.  Email the counts to primperfect@gmail.com along with your avatar name and the answer to the tiebreaker question which can be found on page 92 of the magazine.  The winner will be the person who is closest to an accurate prim count, and in the event of a tie, the tiebreaker question will be used. Your answers are due by October 6, 2008. Please remember – you don’t necessarily have to find every prim count to win a prize!  Have fun and keep watching these clues.
