Welcome to the Treasure Hunt for the September issue of Prim Perfect magazine. Over the next few weeks, I will be taking you on adventures across the grid, searching for FOURTEEN items offered by some incredibly talented designers and store owners. To complete the Treasure Hunt challenge, you need to visit each store that I profile, find the featured item, and discover its prim count. Instructions on how to find the prim count of an item can be found either on page 92 of the magazine or on our Treasure Hunt Information Page. For participating, you may win something wonderful by one of these designers from the Prim Perfect prize cabinet.
Saffia Widdershins has written many times of her love of glassware, and this item from True North Designs is not only beautiful but practical. Dellybean North has worked her magic with crystal textures again and created a Victorian Crystal Hall Light for us to find. A touch to the crystal sets it glowing with a clear, bright light. Another touch turns it off so you can closely admire the details on its cut surface. The light’s prim count is remarkably conservative, and it’s up to you to discover it.
Staying within Delly’s Northern Lights brand, I found this new Gaslight with or without hanging baskets. An almost invisible blue flame flickers behind old glass. The poles are black ridged iron, and the baskets hang from heavy black chains. Take a step close to smell the baskets – they are overflowing with bright flowers in yellow, red, purple, and white. The base can be removed if you wish to display it within a pot or another setting. The light has the standard touch on/off function, but it also has a daylight sensor to work automatically. Available in either single or a pack of 10, these would give an old-fashioned look to your landscape.
To participate in the treasure hunt challenge, we ask you to find as many prim counts as you can for each of the magazine’s treasure hunt items. Email the counts to primperfect@gmail.com along with your avatar name and the answer to the tiebreaker question which can be found on page 92 of the magazine. The winner will be the person who is closest to an accurate prim count, and in the event of a tie, the tiebreaker question will be used. Your answers are due by October 6, 2008. Please remember – you don’t necessarily have to find every prim count to win a prize! Have fun and keep watching these clues.
