October Treasure Hunt – Clue 3: KitStar Designs

Welcome to the Treasure Hunt for the October issue of Prim Perfect magazine!  I will be your guide as we tour the grid searching for FOURTEEN items offered by talented designers and store owners.  To complete the Treasure Hunt challenge, you need to visit each store, find the featured item, and note its prim count.  Instructions on how to find the prim count of an item can be found either on page 94 of the magazine or on our Treasure Hunt Information Page.  For participating, you may win something wonderful from the Prim Perfect prize cabinet, created by one of these designers.

Looking as if they have been there for ages, these Greek Style Temple Ruins are the centerpiece of KitStar Designs‘ offerings of classical style artifacts.  The center of the circular temple looks as if a pattern was once inscribed there, but it has faded into the pitted and mossy stone.   Flexi ivy climbs the sculpted columns.  The temple was designed to have eight columns in a perfect circle, but one has crumbled and the pieces lie on the ground nearby.  The temple looks almost magical at sunrise or sunset with the low rays of the sun making the stonework glow.  More of Kittie Munro’s Greek and Roman offerings are on display around the perimeter of the temple, including oil burners, recreations of historic urns, and a few pieces of furniture.

Kittie has been creating some lovely modern Asian designs recently, including this Blossom – retro Asian chair.  It has a very clean appearance in cream and black with cherry blossom accents.  Its smoothly curving arms wrap around you and turn the chair into a cozy nest.  The poses within the chair reflect this as well.  Each of the three pillows contains a different sitting pose.  This style is also available as a sofa with seven casual poses.  While both the chair and sofa are very comfortable, don’t be caught napping!  There are many more places yet to visit in the Treasure Hunt.

To participate in the treasure hunt challenge, we ask you to find as many prim counts as you can for each of the magazine’s treasure hunt items.  Email the counts to primperfect@gmail.com along with your avatar name and the answer to the tiebreaker question which can be found on page 94 of the magazine.  The winner will be the person who is closest to an accurate prim count, and in the event of a tie, the tiebreaker question will be used. Your answers are due by December 1, 2008. Please remember – you don’t necessarily have to find every prim count to win a prize!  Have fun and keep watching these clues.
