October Treasure Hunt – Clue 4: C and D Designs

Welcome to the Treasure Hunt for the October issue of Prim Perfect magazine!  I will be your guide as we tour the grid searching for FOURTEEN items offered by talented designers and store owners.  To complete the Treasure Hunt challenge, you need to visit each store, find the featured item, and note its prim count.  Instructions on how to find the prim count of an item can be found either on page 94 of the magazine or on our Treasure Hunt Information Page.  For participating, you may win something wonderful from the Prim Perfect prize cabinet, created by one of these designers.

This clue allows us to visit a store new to the Treasure Hunt – C&D Designs in Mapinguari.  The store specializes in retro and modern furniture, artwork, and lighting.  Cherelle Capra has asked us to search for the “Utopia” 3-Tier Lights.  There are a couple different versions of the lights, so make sure to find the one with three lights and a top plate for mounting on the ceiling.  The Utopia series of lights are small in size, unique in appearance, and will fit almost anywhere.  The amount of detailing in these lights makes them higher in prim, but Cherelle asks that you consider them like jewelry for your home.  There are 38 combinations of color and glass to choose from, so there should be a design just right for your setting.

One of the unique items I found in the store was this Cubic Vista sitting room.  It is like a booth in a restaurant, but much more whimsical.  Within the stark white cube is a cylindrical hollow containing two benches, a table, and a hanging lamp.  The back wall of the cube is decorated with a selection of 5 coordinating wallpapers.  There are seven different styles of Cubic Vista from Cosmic with pictures of planets and outer space to Retro Mix with bold retro graphical wallpaper.  This could be a fun concept for a club design or make an unusual conversation area in your own lounge.

To participate in the treasure hunt challenge, we ask you to find as many prim counts as you can for each of the magazine’s treasure hunt items.  Email the counts to primperfect@gmail.com along with your avatar name and the answer to the tiebreaker question which can be found on page 94 of the magazine.  The winner will be the person who is closest to an accurate prim count, and in the event of a tie, the tiebreaker question will be used. Your answers are due by December 1, 2008. Please remember – you don’t necessarily have to find every prim count to win a prize!  Have fun and keep watching these clues.
