Welcome to the Treasure Hunt for the October issue of Prim Perfect magazine! I will be your guide as we tour the grid searching for FOURTEEN items offered by talented designers and store owners. To complete the Treasure Hunt challenge, you need to visit each store, find the featured item, and note its prim count. Instructions on how to find the prim count of an item can be found either on page 94 of the magazine or on our Treasure Hunt Information Page. For participating, you may win something wonderful from the Prim Perfect prize cabinet, created by one of these designers.
Put on some fun beachwear and come along with me to visit DB Designs, in the estate of Seaview. It feels like a tropical resort as Danni Bekkers displays her furniture in the sand and gentle waters of the island. Each of the casual pieces is offered in cool blues and greens, sunny yellows, wild animal prints, and spicy reds, oranges, and browns. The feature item for the treasure hunt is the Ocean Mist Bliss Blanket with Canopy. Relax or cuddle on the cushions, sheltered from the sun and sand yet only steps away from the water. A small fire pit keeps you warm when the sun goes down. There are six different poses in the cushions as well as one couple pose and the set is also sold in a version without the canopy. Danni offers a similar design in the Chill Out Raft if you prefer floating on the water.
How about dining al fresco? Here is a beach dining mat with a low table, four cushions, and a canopy. The one in the picture is in the Sunny Delight color scheme. The bright yellow and white stripes are extremely cheery and promise to glow if dining by candlelight. Although the color scheme is simple, good attention was paid to the textures. Rather than a solid yellow, the cushions are textured in concentric squares. There is a fine wood grain on the table and the mat is made from reeds woven in a herringbone pattern. The set is low in prims and would be great fun for a casual dinner party.
To participate in the treasure hunt challenge, we ask you to find as many prim counts as you can for each of the magazine’s treasure hunt items. Email the counts to primperfect@gmail.com along with your avatar name and the answer to the tiebreaker question which can be found on page 94 of the magazine. The winner will be the person who is closest to an accurate prim count, and in the event of a tie, the tiebreaker question will be used. Your answers are due by December 1, 2008. Please remember – you don’t necessarily have to find every prim count to win a prize! Have fun and keep watching these clues.
