October Treasure Hunt – Clue 11: True North Designs

Welcome to the Treasure Hunt for the October issue of Prim Perfect magazine!  I will be your guide as we tour the grid searching for FOURTEEN items offered by talented designers and store owners.  To complete the Treasure Hunt challenge, you need to visit each store, find the featured item, and note its prim count.  Instructions on how to find the prim count of an item can be found either on page 94 of the magazine or on our Treasure Hunt Information Page.  For participating, you may win something wonderful from the Prim Perfect prize cabinet, created by one of these designers.

Decorating for the winter holidays has begun at True North Designs.  Planters are overflowing with poinsettias and ribbons.  Trees are draped in glowing lights and snow falls into drifts on the ground.  Penguins are frolicking in the lower courtyard.  Although I was trying hard not to think about the impending season, the sight of Dellybean North’s decorated store brought a smile to my face, especially when the lights are set to midnight.   I felt like a VIP when I touched the grand tree and turned on its lights.  There are more wonderful decorations inside the store, including a pair of comical Canadian penguins right inside the front door.  I had to laugh out loud when I recognized Delly’s tribute.

In case you thought I forgot, there is still the featured Treasure Hunt item to be found within the store.  We are supposed to write down the prim count for this Baliset Armchair.  The chair is part of a full suite of furniture – chairs, sofa, tables, planter, and room screen.  The furniture design is square and solid with chunky carved feet of polished fine-grained wood.  The side panels are a wicker weave.  Creamy white cushions are accented with two pillows – one terracotta and one with a blue pattern to match the planter.  As with all her furniture, Delly has built several casual poses into the chair.  A click to the seat cushion cycles through them.  It’s comfortable seating and easy to coordinate colors with a touch of exotic flair.
