(Remember how I talked before Christmas about the different produiction of A Christmas Carol that were going forward?
Today Radio Riel will be broadcasting one of them – A Caledon Christmas Carol, performed by the Radio Riel players (of which you can read more in the current edition of Prim Perfect, starting on page 50).
In fact, Radio Riel is hosting a tribute day to the Radio Riel Players, who have been broadcasting audio on the station since the summer of this year.
Beginning with poems and speeches and scenes from Shakespeare, they have now progressed to longer productions – a full length play with How Fear Departed from the Long Gallery broadcast at Halloween, and now the three part A Caledon Christmas Carol (which will be broadcast twice in its entirity – at 12pm and 6pm SLT.
Prim Perfect and Radio Riel have been involved in projects with each other since last New Year’s Eve, when we celebrated the start of 2008 with our Many Midnights celebration which raised L$105, 633 – which which is equivalent to approximately $370.00US for Gardens of Hope. In the summer, there was the series of concerts with live musicians on Tribute Island. And, of course, Radio Riel DJ’s also supplied the music for many of the parties on our Halloween sim of Caer Blanco.
And, as 2009 approaches, we look forward to more opportunities to work together too!
