December Treasure Hunt – Clue 1: An Asian Arts

[Editorial Update: This store is in the process of moving.  The landmark previously listed no longer takes you to the store.  To find this featured item, it has been relocated to Better World Island.  Refer to this post for details.]

After eating far too much over the holidays, it’s time to get up and go hunting for the Treasure Hunt items in the December issue of Prim Perfect magazine.  We’re going to jog around the grid, searching for ELEVEN items contributed by some talented designers and store owners.  I’ll tell you a bit about the featured item, but you have to find it  and write down its prim count.   Instructions on how to find the prim count of an item can be found on page 46 of the magazine or on our Treasure Hunt Information Page.  The one who submits the most correct prim counts will receive this month’s Star Prize – a manor house in Kettle Moraine furnished by Keith Extraordinaire and featured on page 36 of the magazine!

While An Asian Arts is a new store to the Treasure Hunt, its owner RiverSong Garden is not new to Prim Perfect.  She has been featured on the blog and on Meta Makeover for her work on charity projects including the Halloween sim at Caer Blanco and Better World Island.  RiverSong’s store is in a two-story Japanese style building.  The serene feeling of the architecture is enhanced by the sound of running water and round pools with koi swimming in circles.  Within the rooms of the store are living, dining, and bedroom furniture in a simple Asian style as well as floor coverings and artwork for your walls.

That simple aesthetic carries over to the feature item, the Red Poppy Placesetting.  The deep colors of the lacquered wood don’t show well in pictures, so zoom in close for a look once you find it.  The red poppy design is within the  lacquer on the square plate and round bowl.  Two slick black chopsticks rest in a groove on top of the bowl.  Like many things at An Asian Arts, the set is low in prim and affordable in price.  It’s an excellent place to visit for someone who is  just starting out or closely watching their prim budget.

To participate in the treasure hunt challenge, we ask you to find as many prim counts as you can for each of the magazine’s treasure hunt items.  Email the counts to primperfect@gmail.com along with your avatar name and the completion of the tiebreaker sentence “Prim Perfect is…” in fifteen words or less.  The winner will be the person who is closest to an accurate prim count, and in the event of a tie, the tiebreaker question will be used. Your answers are due by January 20, 2009. Please remember – you don’t necessarily have to find every prim count to win a prize!  Runner-up prizes will also be awarded!

Have fun hunting and keep watching for more clues!
