December Treasure Hunt – Clue 5: IcaruS

After eating far too much over the holidays, it’s time to get up and go hunting for the Treasure Hunt items in the December issue of Prim Perfect magazine.  We’re going to jog around the grid, searching for ELEVEN items contributed by some talented designers and store owners.  I’ll tell you a bit about the featured item, but you have to find it  and write down its prim count.   Instructions on how to find the prim count of an item can be found on page 46 of the magazine or on our Treasure Hunt Information Page.  The one who submits the most correct prim counts will receive this month’s Star Prize – a manor house in Kettle Moraine furnished by Keith Extraordinaire and featured on page 36 of the magazine!

From the French village of Giverny, we travel to the French seaside town of Rue DAntibes.  Although the stone walkways and pastel storefronts call out for a casual stroll past the boutiques, we should keep up our heart rate with a brisk power walk.   Down one of the interior streets we stop at the black and gold sign of Icarus, owned by LeonTubrok Beaumont.  Inside are his collection of luxury watches, multi-zone timepieces, and a few unique items as well.

We’re looking for the prim count of this treasure hunt item – the Monaco Triton Wall Mount Clock.  There is a lot happening on the brushed black and silver finish of this clock.  Dials track three different time zones.  Other dials show the day, date, sun, and moon phase.  The pendulum below the clock is animated, and unique chime and tick options are available.  It’s a sophisticated look for someone’s office or modern home.

To participate in the treasure hunt challenge, we ask you to find as many prim counts as you can for each of the magazine’s treasure hunt items.  Email the counts to primperfect@gmail.com along with your avatar name and the completion of the tiebreaker sentence “Prim Perfect is…” in fifteen words or less.  The winner will be the person who is closest to an accurate prim count, and in the event of a tie, the tiebreaker question will be used. Your answers are due by January 20, 2009. Please remember – you don’t necessarily have to find every prim count to win a prize!  Runner-up prizes will also be awarded!
