December Treasure Hunt – Clue 8: Kick The Can

After eating far too much over the holidays, it’s time to get up and go hunting for the Treasure Hunt items in the December issue of Prim Perfect magazine.  We’re going to jog around the grid, searching for ELEVEN items contributed by some talented designers and store owners.  I’ll tell you a bit about the featured item, but you have to find it  and write down its prim count.   Instructions on how to find the prim count of an item can be found on page 46 of the magazine or on our Treasure Hunt Information Page.  The one who submits the most correct prim counts will receive this month’s Star Prize – a manor house in Kettle Moraine furnished by Keith Extraordinaire and featured on page 36 of the magazine!
This building may look like a traditional elementary school, but it’s much more fun than that.  Inside is Kick The Can, a store for children and those young at heart.  There are colorful child-sized tables.  EZ Bake ovens and red playground balls are waiting for someone to play.  When I visited, a girl came in and squealed at the sight of the ice cream freezer.  I grinned happily at the display of balloon hats in one side room.

This Teddy Bear by Robin (Sojourner) Wood is the item we need to find.    The bear comes with copy and modify permissions so you can place copies wherever you need a bear and make it just the right size for you.  The ribbon around the bear’s neck is color-changing as well.   When you purchase a bear, the package contains 5 versions.  Two are for display only.  The other three have animations.  The cuddle bear allows you to hold it to your chest, occasionally giving it a squeeze.  Carry bears allow you to hold the bear in your left or right hand.  Teddy bears make wonderful, faithful companions and there is a table of them waiting for your love.

Did you think I forgot about my commitment to exercising?  Not this time!  Grab your rollerblades or skateboard and meet me up on the roof.   Let’s catch some air and have a blast on the ramps and rails!

To participate in the treasure hunt challenge, we ask you to find as many prim counts as you can for each of the magazine’s treasure hunt items.  Email the counts to primperfect@gmail.com along with your avatar name and the completion of the tiebreaker sentence “Prim Perfect is…” in fifteen words or less.  The winner will be the person who is closest to an accurate prim count, and in the event of a tie, the tiebreaker question will be used. Your answers are due by January 20, 2009. Please remember – you don’t necessarily have to find every prim count to win a prize!  Runner-up prizes will also be awarded!
