Have you ever looked at a cup of coffee steaming in Second Life – and wondered how it was done? Or gazed into the depth of a smouldering fire, and wondered how it was created? Have you ever looked at a fountain or a waterfall and thought, “Oh, that’s beautiful! How did they do that?”
Well, today Meta Makeover, with the help of renowned particle designer Klyks Klees of Basic Elements will be answering your questions!
Join us at 2pm SLT in the studio as Klyks explains the physics behind particle creation – and shows us a variety of wonderful effects, some of which you’ll be able to try at home for yourselves. And don’t miss the fantastic display of different effects that Klyks has set up in our Exhibition Hall!
And remember, there’s special gifts for everyone who comes to the studio!
The show starts at 2pm SLT, but you should be there by 1.30pm to make sure of getting a seat – this one is likely to be popular!

What’s the most romantic place in Second Life? Meta Makeover really wants to know!
For our special show on February 10th, in honour of Valentine’s Day, we want to feature the most romantic place in Second Life!
How will we find it? Well, we’re asking for your help!
We have set up a survey so that you can vote for your most romantic place. This asks you for the name and the slurl of the place that you choose as the most romantic in Second Life.
In addition, you can state WHY you think your choice deserves to win. We will award a prize to the avatar who supplies what our team believe to be the best answer (which could be the most romantic, the most poignant or, indeed, the funniest).
The survey will run until 1st February. So … get voting – and you could see your favourite romantic location on Meta Makeover!
