The latest episode of Meta Makeover is now available on the Meta Makeover website at SLCN – and can also be downloaded free of charge from iTunes.
The show found Meta Makeover back in our beautiful studio on Northpoint as we discussed a very important issue – IP and copyright violations.
Together with Dirk Tamalasca, Gwen Carillon and Gospel Voom, with a contribution from the Heart sisters, Lilith and Dolly (of the Heart Garden Centre), we looked at this vital issue in Second Life and on Open Source grids. And we probably achieved an unwelcome first on inworld television by demonstrating on the programme how easily an item could be copy-botted!
But we also discussed ways to combat theft, and talked about different efforts to counter the problem. And the show ends with a good bonfire to burn the counterfeited item!
