The organization Animal Rights Advocates have launched a competition to find the best house in Second Life. It’s called the Second Life’s First Annual “Best Home in Second Life” competition and home tour. They are planning that this will be a prestigious event, with a Black Tie Affair awards ceremony and auction to conclude this fundraiser.
Donations come from the voters. Those who tour are asked to select their favourite home and cast a vote to help determine who the winner will be.
The Animal Rights Advocates organisation is a group of volunteers dedicated to establishing and defending the rights of all animals. Their mission, they say, “lies in the eradication of animal cruelty. While utilizing the most advanced knowledge pertaining to animal rights, we apply and dedicate ourselves and our work to preserving and saving the vast abundances of life that grace our presence.”
The way to take part is to visit the ARA building in San Miguel and pick up a home tour map that illustrates the location of Second Life’s best homes. They also have a 1 prim poster that distributes landmark and information.
It is intended that donations will come from the voters. Those who tour are asked to select their favourite home and cast a vote to help determine who the winner shall be. The ARA very helpfully supply a very full mission statement setting out their policies concerning animal welfare – and we suggest you should read this before making a donation.
We wish the competitors the very best of luck!
