Just over a year ago, the Meta Makeover show visited the lovely desert island of Matanzas. It was our third episode, and we asked The Loft to make over a beautiful Nikki Brennan beach home owned by Skate Foss. They did an outstanding hob – and Skate was thrilled with her new home.
So much so that when, earlier this year, the owner of the island decided to sell, Skate couldn’t bear to lose it! So … her solution was to buy the island!
Now she has converted it from a slightly arid desert island to a stunningly beautiful tropical estate with a number of private residences, and some spectacular public spaces, created by the landscaper Kaja Lurra.
Join us at 2pm SLT (Tuesday 26th May) as we talk to Kaja Lurra and to Rosario Carbetta of 1k Designs (who has a lovely beach house on the island) – and see howthis alteration occurred.
And you can join our viewing party to watch the show at the Designing Worlds studios on Northpoint. As always, there’s two special gifts for everyone who comes to the studio, and an exhibition to see in our Hall outside. The show starts at 2pm SLT, but you should be in our Northpoint studios by 1.30pm to make sure of getting a seat.
