May 2009 Treasure Hunt – Barefoot Homes & Designs

Displayed in front of a set of modern office furniture, we find this Pacific Blue Glass Feather light.  This art deco lamp design is distinctive to Barefoot Homes and Designs.  The stained glass feathers seem fragile and surround a white globe bulb.  The body of the lamp is a high gloss black metal, and the light turns on and off with a touch.  This is a very versatile design, offered as floor, table, or hanging models.  Four types of material for bases as well as eight colors of feathers makes it easy to match any decorating scheme.

After finding the prim count for the floor lamp, take a little while to wander outside the store.   Owner Jeremey Ryan has created a lovely green space with manicured grass and inspiring fountains.  It was while exploring that I came across this hidden treasure.  The wall of falling water in the lobby where you first arrive is actually fed from a hidden swimming pool in a niche in the rock next to the store.  Anyone visiting the store would never know the pool was there, but finding it is a wonderful reward for taking the time to explore the world around you.
