The most recent episode of the show is now available on the Designing Worlds website at the Treet TV archives – and can also be downloaded free of charge from iTunes.

This was a very moving show, as we visited the fascinating exhibition, The Middle Passage Experience, which is an amazing interactive presentation of the transportation of Africans to the Americas as slaves that occurred from the seventeenth century on.

In the first part of the show, Elrik and Saffia met the curator of the African end of the Experience, Tamsin Barzane, and exploring what happened in Africa and some of the background to the slave trade. This part if the exhibition, previously on Saminaka, which is also called “Nigeria in Africa”, is being hosted for the next month at Northpoint, outside the Designing Worlds studios, so that viewers of the show can come and visit it for themselves.

In the second half of the show, we met the artist Indea Vaher, who created the American installation, set in South Carolina, as well as Winn Wellman, the curator of the Museum of African-American Experience, where this part of the installation is now found.

Don’t forget, even though our show is now called Designing Worlds, we are still doing our Meta Makeovers, where we bring in a top designer to make over your virtual home or garden!

So if you would like to have a virtual home or garden given the treatment by a top designer, send an email to us at metamakeover@gmail.com with three or four pictures of your home or garden attached, and stating your reasons why you would like a makeover.

And if you know a special place in Second Life that we should really feature on the show, drop us a line too!
