This week’s show saw us return to our studio for a timely – and very popular – discussion on the Second Life platform and strategy in the light of recent events at Linden Lab.
Vodpod videos no longer available.
We were joined by Melody Regent, owner of Regent Estates; Prospero Frobozz, aka Dr Rob Knop, astrophysicist, engineer and grid commentator; Ignatius Onomatopoeia, aka Iggy O, aka Dr. Joe Essid of the Writing Center at the University of Richmond, where he teaches in the Departments of English as well as Rhetoric & Communication; Mal Burns, virtual worlds news aggregator, journalist and fellow broadcaster; and Phox ModularSystems, Emerald third-party Viewer developer. Our audience also played a lively part!
Discussion of the issue of how virtual worlds could utilise a web browser led to us showing again the film from Rezzable, made by Prad Prathivi, demonstrating a prototype of how a web portal in Unity3D could be used to access Heritage Key (a Rezzable project).
We hope you’ll find the show as fascinating as we did!
We did have some sound problems with this show, but we hope you will find the content as fascinating as we did.
