Welcome to the first issue of Prim Perfect for the New Year.
And with Valentine’s Day fast approaching, you’ll detect a few touches of romance in the air.
This month, we have a great Prim Perfect free gift for you. Our Advice article this month from Annechen Lowey deals with tidying up your inventory, and to help you do that, we are giving away – with our inworld Intellibook version – a special texture organizer (don’t worry, it has a ‘help’ button) as well as our own branded (and copiable) box to fill with storage items. And make sure you look out for other gifts and landmarks to our advertisers’ stores!
Our Region of the Month is the very lovely Skybeam Estates and Jedburgh30 Dagger has been exploring the contrasting beauties of the area, while Beq Janus has been meeting Charlene Trudeau, the owner of the Region, and learning not just about her work in Skybeam Estates, but also about her work as Chair of the Design Team for Relay for Life.

And nestling within the Skybeam Estates, you’ll find a very special Home of the Month. The very talented designer pitsch Parx has created an awesome design, using a skybox designed by Danny Bourne. The result, rich in colours, textures and artefacts, and set in a beautifully landscaped plot, is an awesome tribute to the work of a very skilled designer. I also talked to pitsch about his work and inspiration – and I’m delighted to say that we are in discussions for pitsch to contribute a column to Prim Perfect, starting next month.

To capture the spirit of romance, Aisling Sinclair has taken a tour of ten of the most romantic places to visit in Second Life, while Ceejay Writer has advice for those of you who, inspired by the season, wish to create a romantic garden.

Our Linden Home of the Month has been decorated by Samantha Hellmann, winner of the Home Hotshots competition which we reported on in December. One of Samantha’s prizes was to be offered her choice of Linden Home to furnish for this issue of the magazine, and you’ll be able to see how she arranged the design of a fantasy Shire’s Hearth inside the magazine.
Our Pathfinders this month, under the mentorship of Qwis Greenwood, have been exploring ideas about adding romance to their creations with the help of Eliza Wierwright, who shares some fascinating ideas. You can see more of this in the interview she gave to Qwis.
Iggy O, our gridnaut, has been exploring the world of Inworldz; while in Charity News, Tricia Aferdita has been exploring the Pixel to Pixel Foundation.

Then there’s all the latest from the Designing Worlds and Metaverse Arts shows on treet.tv, and news of the most recent bargains from Spruce Up Your Space, while our team of talented photographers, led by PJ Trenton, Twisted Lemon, GM Nikolaidis, Tricia Aferdita and Alaex Aeon bring you some of the most romantic and artistic eye candy from across the metaverse!
All this with News from the Grid and more!

So how can I get Prim Perfect?
If you prefer to read the magazine online but not inworld, there are choices. Firstly, there’s the wonderful Calaméo system, which allows you to moves smoothly through the pages, giving you the feeling of reading a real magazine. You’ll find Issue 31 here – and please do leave a comment!

But, if you like to download your magazines to read as you commute to work, or in the bath, or wherever, you can also obtain a standard pdf for downloading and printing.
It is available through SL Marketplace (just search on the site for Prim Perfect). This will deliver you a copy in the form of an Intellibook that you can rez and read inworld.
We also have subscribe-o-matic kiosks throughout Second Life (these are taking over from our older vendors) – so you can just click to subscribe. You’ll be sent a copy of the latest issue, and then you’ll receive your issues regularly!

Another inworld option is to buy from our inworld vendors (located at various stores). Sometimes we have had problems with these, but you can help! If you see a vendor still selling an earlier issue, contact primperfect@gmail.com, and we’ll send someone to update it.
Or you can have it delivered to you each month as an IntelliBook, by joining the Prim Perfect Readers group inworld. It costs nothing to join and, apart from delivering the magazine each month, we won’t overload you with chat or messages!

In addition to delivering the Intellibook version of the magazine, you’ll also get a link to the online Calaméo version of the magazine, so you’ll be able to access that too.
