This week Elrik and Saffia were joined in the studio by Kamiliah Hauptmann, Vice-Reine of Caledon and animation maker, to talk about how we animate our avatar bodies, and some of the challenges that animation makers face.

We looked at the elements that go into creating animations and animation over-rides, and discovered how we could see more about the animations we ourselves are wearing. And Kamilah explains the vexed question of priorities and how animations need to be scaled in order to allow your avatar to walk carrying a handbag, a parasol or a walking stick!
Then we looked at a few non-human animations too, and while Saffia showed off one of her Grendel avatars that she acquired during our show a few weeks ago, the Ungal, we were joined on stage by Skylarian Isachenko as a golden fire lizard. With the Vice-Reine in the form of a white lionness and Elrik as a human, we were able to demonstrate quite a wide range of possibilities for animations!
All in all, this was a fascinating – and very informative show – with some fun things to watch out for too!
