Autumn Treasure Hunt – Clue 1: Elegance in Design by Ally

kitchen roll holder from 'Elegance in Design' Once again there’s a Treasure Hunt in this month’s edition of Prim Perfect. There are SIXTEEN stores taking part this month – and you have to visit the store to discover the prim count of each of the pieces featured in the magazine. You’ll find instructions on how to find the prim count for an item on our Treasure Hunt Information page.

Our first clue comes from Ally Geer’s store in Reign Estates, Elegance in Design by Ally. It’s a playful piece – and a useful one – a kitchen roll holder (no home should be without one!).

Ally always has a range of these small but useful pieces, vital in building up a sense of home. The first time I visited her house, there were loaves of bread fresh from the oven (they were still gently steaming, I seen to recall). At once they conveyed an impression that this was a home, not just a display house (although it was indeed impressively beautiful). In Second Life the best homes do give us the impression that lie is going on there, whether it’s a champagne glass or an open book left on a table … or the small details of everyday life, such as a kitchen roll to catch the spills.

picnic You can see some of Ally’s other careful attention to detail in her presentation of food (which I talked about here). But she was also one of the designers who worked on the Tuscan Castle, where she designed the Red Room (which you can see here). The Tuscan Castle, of course, is the subject of one of our competitions this month (see Page 38 of this month’s issue of Prim Perfect).

But, to get back to the treasure hunt competition, what you have to do is to find as many prim counts as you can, and send the details to primperfect@gmail.com, including your avatar name and an answer to the tiebreak question (which you’ll find in the magazine on Page 26). The person to find the most prim counts will win – and in the event of a tie, we will use the tie-breaker.

Also: – you don’t necessarily have to find every prim count to win a prize! Just find as many as you can – by December 6th.

Another clue will be appearing shortly!
