New Year Treasure Hunt – Clue 1: KitStar Designs

Well, it’s New Year, and soon I’ll be telling you all about the Many Midnights Masquerade at the Gaiety Theatre – Caledon Penzance that Prim Perfect co-sponsored for Gardens of Hope.

I’m also going to do a short article on some of the new pieces that we’re lining up for the blog to kick off the New Year.

But let’s start with a regular feature of this blog – Clues and Information about the Treasure Hunt.

Teas Service from KitStar DesignsOnce again there’s a Treasure Hunt in this month’s edition of Prim Perfect. There are THIRTEEN stores taking part this month – and you have to visit the store to discover the prim count of each of the pieces featured in the magazine. You’ll find instructions on how to find the prim count for an item on our Treasure Hunt Information page.

Today’s clue comes from KitStar Designs, the store owned by Kitty Munro and located on a sky platform in Vorlheim. It’s a really gorgeously decorated tea service, complete with steam rising from the cups and from the spout of the teapot, as well as sugar, milk or – if you prefer – lemon – and the detailing on the lemon is amazing. In fact, the detail of the whole thing is just exquisite, as you can see here.

Greek Vases from KitStar DesignsKitty makes a wide range of goods, including these lovely Greek vases – I gave a selection of her work to a classicist friend and he was delighted with the quality of the designs. She actually does reproductions of mosaics as well, and a range of other items that have a classical feel. Perfect, I think, for adding the suggestion to your home that you have taken the Grand Tour of Second Life (if not Europe!) – and brought back a little memento!

But her range extends beyond classical Europe. She has a range of materials drawing inspiration from the Middle East – such as a seat of very comfortable relaxing cushions to sprawl on, and a hookah pipe. And she has a great range of carpets too – as well as a variety of larger builds stored (when I went) in a handy rezzer.

Objects by KitStar DesignsHowever, don’t get carried away looking at ALL the goodies at KitStar Designs – as you’re here to complete the Prim Perfect Treasure Hunt!

For the treasure hunt competition, what you have to do is to find as many prim counts as you can, and send the details to primperfect@gmail.com, including your avatar name and an answer to the tiebreak question (which you’ll find in the magazine on Page 90). The person to find the most prim counts will win – and in the event of a tie, we will use the tie-breaker. Also: – you don’t necessarily have to find every prim count to win a prize! Just find as many as you can – by January 20th.

Another clue will be appearing shortly!
