New Year Treasure Hunt – Clue 11: Sofia’s Furniture

Dining room suite from Sofia's FurnitureOnce again there’s a Treasure Hunt in this month’s edition of Prim Perfect. There are THIRTEEN stores taking part this month – and you have to visit the store to discover the prim count of each of the pieces featured in the magazine. You’ll find instructions on how to find the prim count for an item on our Treasure Hunt Information page.

Today’s clue comes from on Sofia’s Furniture, Sofia Standish’s store on her own island, Serafina, and proves once again what a wide range of styles she’ll work in.  This is rich and warm – using burnished metals to stunning effect.  Yet it’s saved from harshness by the nicely padded scuilptie cushions that come with the seats!

Essentially, of course, this is that most blessed of devices a designer can offer us – a low prim set of furniture with – in this case – Sofia using all her texture skills to develop the simple shapes into something rather special.

But Sofia hasn’t just been working on furniture this month.  She’s been sending me samples of other goodies too – which have included an amazing low-prim Tudor cottage and some timbered furniture.  Is there a deeper message behind these new creations?

Well, actually, yes.   Qabalah Quintus has been having an overhaul on Qabalah Island, and one of the things that has happened is the creation of an early Tudor village by Sofia, and a selection of the furniture that Qabalah has placed in castles all over the island.  So if you see a lovely piece in one of the castles, you can make your way to the village and buy it there!

And, once you’ve finished with the treasure hunt, do pop over, for there’s some lovely new castles on sale there!

But first – a last chance for the treasure hunt!

For the treasure hunt competition, what you have to do is to find as many prim counts as you can, and send the details to primperfect@gmail.com, including your avatar name and an answer to the tiebreak question (which you’ll find in the magazine on Page 90). The person to find the most prim counts will win – and in the event of a tie, we will use the tie-breaker. Also: – you don’t necessarily have to find every prim count to win a prize! Just find as many as you can – by January 25th.
