Step into Narnia …

by Saffia

Party in NarniaNormally, I don’t blog about the parties I go to (parties? me? No, I’m working too hard bringing you the very best of SL design … erm … you saw my crossed fingers, didn’t you?)

But this one was special, because it featured the most amazing build … and I’m going to urge you all to go there. And go now – because it’s a beautifully Narnia-themed creation – and it’s only going to be there for a week.

Party guests were told that dress was Ice Princess or Caspian Prince, and people picked up on the Narnia theme. And that was good, because when you arrived, you found yourself in an attic room with a large wardrobe. There was a book of clues, but I know Narnia of old – so I strode boldly into and through the wardrobe. There was a room beyond, filled with goodies and jokes and surprises but, being a little late, I hurried on through the exit and into the most glorious snowscape.

Flying to the ballThis was Narnia at its most magical, in the grip of the Ice Queen. I hurried on, past lamposts and to a snowy lake where I could catch a bubble that conveyed me across the winter landscape to my party destination. Below me, wolves howled and I suspect there were all sorts of little details to discover – which makes a return visit a must.

I was wearing my most Pauline Baynes dress – and I think it made for an illustration she would appreciate herself!

And then to a great party in a specially created ballroom in the palace – it made for a lovely evening!

The sim was specially built (in a stunningly short time) for the joint birthdays of Charlotte Bartlett of Scarlet Creative and Neil Robinson (who works with Charlotte and Scarlet Creative and also has his own Store of Stuff). They built it themselves together with BackpackLife Loon, Prad Prathivi and Spike Linden – and it is quite, quite magical.

Go now. You know you want to. And capture the magic for yourself.

  1. Hey! So glad you had a good time! As you mentioned we turned it around in doublequick time for the party so I’m really happy and would like to extend a big thanks and a hug to everyone who was able to make it!

Also! I may have given you an old landmark, as that SLurl doesnt lead to my shop!

Here’s the correct link to find my little shop, http://slurl.com/secondlife/Midnight%20City/193/33/29
there isnt much in it yet though!

Visitors should note that Midnight City doesnt allow direct teleports so they’ll have to follow the ‘beacon’ to find the store ^_^

Thanks again and if anyone wants to explore Narnia get in there quickish ’cause it wont be around for much longer!
