Welcome to the Treasure Hunt for the September issue of Prim Perfect magazine. Over the next few weeks, I will be taking you on adventures across the grid, searching for FOURTEEN items offered by some incredibly talented designers and store owners. To complete the Treasure Hunt challenge, you need to visit each store that I profile, find the featured item, and discover its prim count. Instructions on how to find the prim count of an item can be found either on page 92 of the magazine or on our Treasure Hunt Information Page. For participating, you may win something wonderful by one of these designers from the Prim Perfect prize cabinet.
Did I say there were fourteen items? Unfortunately an offline crisis kept me from posting all of them before the deadline, but you still need to explore one more place. There are some wonderful modern bedrooms and bathrooms at Instinct furniture. The goal of designer Cornelius Sloat is to create a totally interactive experience. Everything works. I was drawn to this Intimate Bed due to its wonderfully rumpled blanket. I like my home looking lived-in, not perfect and sterile. When you click on the bed, an extensive menu comes up with options from relaxing to cuddling to more adult activities. Another menu option determines whether the pose balls show or are hidden. While you’re at Instinct, make sure you wander through the bedrooms into the bathrooms.
Their bathrooms are not static either. All the faucets respond to your touch, filling the basin or showering you with particles of water. Sink into one of the tubs. Your body immediately relaxes, laying your head back against the edge of the tub while your feet gracefully stir the water. There are several models of modern style bathtubs tucked away in the bathrooms at Instinct furniture, but I was unable to locate the specific treasure hunt item. It is a bit older in design style, and I know the Bath Tub can be found in many colors including beige at Cornelius Sloat’s other store, CORN. There is a lot more modern furniture to be found at CORN to outfit your kitchen, living room, and office.
To participate in the treasure hunt challenge, we ask you to find as many prim counts as you can for each of the magazine’s treasure hunt items. Email the counts to primperfect@gmail.com along with your avatar name and the answer to the tiebreaker question which can be found on page 92 of the magazine. The winner will be the person who is closest to an accurate prim count, and in the event of a tie, the tiebreaker question will be used. Your answers were due by October 6, 2008, but it’s not too late to enter. Mention in your entry that you were waiting for the final clue, and your entry will still be considered if it is received before the next issue of Prim Perfect goes to press. Please remember – you don’t necessarily have to find every prim count to win a prize! Have fun and keep watching these clues.
