Welcome to the Treasure Hunt for the October issue of Prim Perfect magazine! I will be your guide as we tour the grid searching for FOURTEEN items offered by talented designers and store owners. To complete the Treasure Hunt challenge, you need to visit each store, find the featured item, and note its prim count. Instructions on how to find the prim count of an item can be found either on page 94 of the magazine or on our Treasure Hunt Information Page. For participating, you may win something wonderful from the Prim Perfect prize cabinet, created by one of these designers.
The second hunt item is hiding within the gardens of Antique Artistry on Fatimas Art. Fatima Ur’s gardens are still in lush bloom, though fallen leaves and flower petals occasionally litter the pathways. While looking for the fountain, I learned something new about the store. Fatima’s garden center is actually spread over three sims – Fatimas Art, Fatimas Victoriana, and Fatimas Wonderland. It’s in that last sim where you’ll find her Serene Swans Fountain. It’s a tall gray stone fountain with three regal swans perching on the edge of the largest basin, their wings open. A fine cooling mist of water sprays out the top as water spills from four basins. This is one of several gorgeous animal fountains found in the gardens, each one seeming to capture the noble spirit of the animals portrayed.
Following the pathways of the garden center, you’ll find many different styles of gazebos with cozy arrangements of furniture displayed inside. This one is the Halcyon Days gazebo, made from aged red bricks. Vines of roses climb one of the pillars, where only a gentle breeze is needed to carry their perfume to your nose. Inside are placed two wicker chairs for cozy conversation around a warm fire within a cast iron and brick pit. The gazebo sits on a high point, allowing you views of a serene pond, colorful gardens, and some of Fatima’s Victorian home designs. Take your time to enjoy the special atmosphere created here.
To participate in the treasure hunt challenge, we ask you to find as many prim counts as you can for each of the magazine’s treasure hunt items. Email the counts to primperfect@gmail.com along with your avatar name and the answer to the tiebreaker question which can be found on page 94 of the magazine. The winner will be the person who is closest to an accurate prim count, and in the event of a tie, the tiebreaker question will be used. Your answers are due by December 1, 2008. Please remember – you don’t necessarily have to find every prim count to win a prize! Have fun and keep watching these clues.
