Welcome to the Treasure Hunt for the October issue of Prim Perfect magazine! I will be your guide as we tour the grid searching for FOURTEEN items offered by talented designers and store owners. To complete the Treasure Hunt challenge, you need to visit each store, find the featured item, and note its prim count. Instructions on how to find the prim count of an item can be found either on page 94 of the magazine or on our Treasure Hunt Information Page. For participating, you may win something wonderful from the Prim Perfect prize cabinet, created by one of these designers.
It’s time for another clue, and we travel to another new place. Joining the Treasure Hunt for the first time is Ali in Chindogu. Alidar Moxie is the creator of this Sweetness jewelry box – perfect for a little girl, or someone who is still a little girl at heart. The pink oval box pops open with a touch. Two drawers swing out of the sides with wearable bracelets, and the top flips open to show a young girl’s hair clips and a tiny ballerina who twirls to ‘The Magic Flute’. Another touch snaps the box closed again. My daughter, who loves all girly things pink and purple, better not see this or I’ll be searching for one offline for her.
There are some lovely pieces of conventional furniture in the store – beds, living rooms, roll-top desks – but Alidar has also created some very unique items. Look for the curious table and chair made of brass and glass that look like a spider. Upstairs is a wonderful Neko set with a bed for two and a table with milk, a goldfish bowl, and a treat jar. Here are three very different clocks on display. The Tuscana is the brass one on the right. The Pavo in the center appears to be made of brushed steel. Then the Cassiopeia Grandfather Clock has its artful curves created from blond wood. They are all extraordinary timepieces. Time? Time! We need to keep going on the treasure hunt!
To participate in the treasure hunt challenge, we ask you to find as many prim counts as you can for each of the magazine’s treasure hunt items. Email the counts to firstname.lastname@example.org along with your avatar name and the answer to the tiebreaker question which can be found on page 94 of the magazine. The winner will be the person who is closest to an accurate prim count, and in the event of a tie, the tiebreaker question will be used. Your answers are due by December 1, 2008. Please remember – you don’t necessarily have to find every prim count to win a prize! Have fun and keep watching these clues.
