We’re staying within the village of Petite Chou for this clue, walking over to The Fading Lands. Look for the hanging sign with the glowing gold lettering and the painting of a maiden in white. Stepping inside, you’ll find a recreation of medieval household furnishings. A bench table is set with pewter plates, a platter of fresh bread, and a basket of pies. More wonderful foods can be found cooking on the hearth or on the kitchen counter.
A woman’s work is never done, and owner Lilyanah Demar offers several types of chores for a medieval lady. There are dishes to wash, and a spinning wheel to turn, but my favorite is this quilting table. There is an applique quilt in the table frame and stools are placed nearby awaiting ladies to sit, sew, and gossip. A basket of supplies sits nearby, and spools of thread are placed at the corners of the table for convenience.
Somewhere within the store, you need to look for this Wash Stand. It seems to be made from an antique hardwood, with legs hand-turned on a lathe. The stand comes with two shelves and a unique curved mirror. The wash basin and pitcher sitting on it are sold separately but look lovely on the stand. A matching vanity sits next to it, but it is the prim count of the Wash Stand that you need to uncover before moving on to the next store.
