Exploring the Isle of Mists

Introduced to me by a dear friend, the realm known as the Isle of Mists is a special place, either for couples wishing to spend quiet, romantic time together or individuals looking for a peaceful, meditative environment.

Created by Ashira Legien, it appears that this region has been around since 2007.    It contains 3 public regions – the Isle of Mists, the Isle of Adaron, and Faenor – and two residential regions.  Ashira likes to call the style ElvenCeltic.  It has a natural feel, with worn and rambling hills, old rocks, waterfalls, and tall rough-barked trees with gnarled and complex roots.

The ancient trees are Ashira’s personal favourites, and she has incorporated buildings into the largest ones.  The huge tree in the center of the Isle of Mists contains Ashira’s Aerie, her store of  Celtic, fantasy, and nature-inspired jewelry, along with original artwork and flying vehicles.  Above the store is a treetop concert venue.  Other ancient trees around the estate are hosts to a gorgeous chapel as well as Ashira’s private castle.

A convenient teleport system helps to get you to the main attractions of the estate quickly and easily.  For the more adventurous, the same golden teleport signs will allow you to rez a dragonfly or butterfly and you can swoop around the realm.   Put on your fins to explore underwater, or rez a manta ray from the teleport signs below.

There is much to explore within the three different regions.  Try to make the time to walk the worn hillsides, sit and meditate near an inspiring view,  climb the ancient Mayan temple, watch the birds and dragons soar through the sky, or discover one of the many hidden places above, below, and within the realm.
