Designing Worlds invites you to join us in our Northpoint studio today at 2pm SLT as we meet Second Life children as they go to their special two week Summer Camp – at Camp Hardknock!

Our journey starts in a quiet railway station where the children embark for their journey to the Camp, and then continues as we explore the camp itself. As Saffia and Elrik are both from the UK, the phenomenon of Summer Camp is something of a mystery to them, and they are eager to find out what it entails – in both the real world and Second Life.
And they will be exploring the phenomenon of child avatars and family roleplay. In a world where people can choose to represent themselves as elves, foxes, wolves, mermaids or octipii, Romans, Victorians, cyborgs or steampunk robots, why are some people so opposed to those who choose to play as children? We’ll be discussing some of the problems that arise – as well as enjoying all the fun of Camp Hardknock in this week’s show.

The show starts at 2pm SLT, but you should be in our Northpoint studios by 1.30pm to make sure of getting a seat.
And make sure that you don’t miss the displays at our studio either – the StoryQuest Display on the beach outside our studio and the displays from Heritage Key and Garden of Dreams on display in our Exhibition Hall!
Or you tune in at 2pm SLT on Tuesday for the live show – where you can now chat with other audience members and even some of the participants during the show – or catch it later in the week on our shows page on the Treet.tv web site.
