Prim Perfect Jigsaw: Kick (and the Community)

Today’s jigsaw is a beautiful image from Kick, taken by Honour Macmillan and first appearing on her blog – Honour’s Post Menopausal View (of Second Life). It’s actually not the most recent post – you’ll find it here: Building Community in Second Life, or Not and it was written on April 17th, in the wake of the announcement that Linden Lab would not be hosting the Second Life birthday this year. They also said that the theme should be community.

Since then, Linden Lab have given us almost one day out and a series of unscheduled maintenances that take part of the grid down  Search at one point died completely.

The community has given us the wildly popular Fantasy Faire, which raised eye watering amounts of money for Relay for Life. The Fourth Birthday Party for Bay City is planned, as is the Home and Garden Expo.  Burn2 have started to gear up with a party.  And, of course, in July we have the huge weekend community event that is Relay Weekend of Relay for Life.

The clock is ticking down to Second Life’s birthday. So far, I’ve heard of one event – a musical club crawl organised by a popular musician.

Let’s do the jigsaw.
