Designing Worlds Memorial For LaPiscean Liberty: Filming 1pm SLT on Tuesday 5th March

On Tuesday 5th March at 1pm, we will be recording a special Memorial episode of Designing Worlds for LaPiscean Liberty, who passed recently.

Lap – as he was known – was a much-loved and important figure in the SL Arts and Machinima worlds. He ran the TV channels, Aview and SL Artists, and was one of the first people to work on ways to bring machinima showings into Second Life. He also ran Festivals such as the 48 Hour Film Festival.

If you would like to come to the recording and learn more about Lap and his work, or if you have stories about Lap to share, please join us in the Designing Worlds studio at 1pm SLT.

  1. Rest in peace Lap! I had not spoken with him for a very long time but he will always be remembered as champion of this crazy niche art we call Machimina! Can’t come to the event, too late for me – I hope there is an in-world memorial site planned perhaps?

  2. I’m terribly sorry that I couldn’t make it! LaPiscean was one of the first friends I made in Second Life, way back when I first joined in 2006, and I always thought of him as a bit of a big brother. To say I admired his creativity, his kindness, his gentle heart, and his imagination would be an understatement.

Rest in Peace and Power, LaPiscean.
