As I said yesterday, a couple of pretty things have come across my radar lately, and I thought I’d share.
The first treat was the blooms from Fallingwater Flowers, but today I want to show you these lovely talavera tiles which come from Absinthe Minded‘s sim level store (as opposed to the skybox store, which I’ve written about before, where you can see Absinthe Primrose’s really lovely antique style pots with their faintly bronzed hue).
There is a range of tiles, which you can see on Absinthe’s own blog. As well as the colourful frog and lizard shown here, there’s icons of the sun and moon, together and separately. There are examples of all the styles on the blog (you’ll have to just from the blog to the picture image – I don’t trust the picture link to stay static from here!)
These Mexican style talavera tiles look beautiful on the glass windows of the tiki store, but they’re actually designed for patio walls – and that’s where they’ll be placed in my garden. I love the way the combination of shine and shadows gives them a really sense of three dimensionality – and the brilliant colours and warm and vibrant.
