Welcome to the Treasure Hunt for the October issue of Prim Perfect magazine! I will be your guide as we tour the grid searching for FOURTEEN items offered by talented designers and store owners. To complete the Treasure Hunt challenge, you need to visit each store, find the featured item, and note its prim count. Instructions on how to find the prim count of an item can be found either on page 94 of the magazine or on our Treasure Hunt Information Page. For participating, you may win something wonderful from the Prim Perfect prize cabinet, created by one of these designers.
We start the hunt with a seasonal offering from Beck’s Card Shop. This spooky Halloween Invitation is something you have to see in person. More than a static display, this invitation has actual smoke rising out of the cauldron. The candle inside the pumpkin can be lit and extinguished with a touch, and there just may be spirits in the air. This is one of two animated designs available in the store. Either one would be a dramatic way to announce a Halloween event, and it’s not too late to get one for your own party. When you purchase the invitation, you receive a notecard order form. Follow the directions within, and then Miles Beck will customize the invitation for you with your specific details and landmark.
If you still need to decorate for Halloween, take a look at the whimsical items on display in the store. Miles offers fun Trick Or Treat flags in two different sizes. A Jack O’ Lantern with working candle sits nearby, and there is also a set of three pumpkins that could be used to decorate your home through the remainder of the fall season. I saw four adorable balloons floating nearby. A couple of those seemed to have followed me home. Of course, the main attraction here are the customizable Halloween greeting cards with whimsical graphics. The traditional orange and black of the season are accented with purple, blue, and yellow. There’s still time to send your greetings before October 31!
To participate in the treasure hunt challenge, we ask you to find as many prim counts as you can for each of the magazine’s treasure hunt items. Email the counts to firstname.lastname@example.org along with your avatar name and the answer to the tiebreaker question which can be found on page 94 of the magazine. The winner will be the person who is closest to an accurate prim count, and in the event of a tie, the tiebreaker question will be used. Your answers are due by December 1, 2008. Please remember – you don’t necessarily have to find every prim count to win a prize! Have fun and keep watching these clues.
