Prim Perfect Issue 15 - Feb 2009: Front cover

Welcome to our Valentine edition of Prim Perfect!

Yes, we are attempting to detect the first touches of spring in the air (for all the Northern hemisphere types – Southern-siders will be looking out the winter woollies by now!).  But more importantly, we’re on the lookout for Romance!

We have some very special features for you this month – such as a special gift feature packed with ideas of what you can give (or hint that you would like to receive) for Valentine’s Day.  See what ideas some of the best designers in the Second Life world have come up with to make your Valentine’s Day that little bit special.

Our Sim of the Month is Dollz Town – a fantasy in pink and cute with some wonderful additions for everyone to enjoy – and a flavour that can be naughty and nice!  Don’t miss the opportunity to wander round the square and visit the shops – or the trailer park!  And make sure you call in at the Seaside cafe to enjoy a coffee.  And for after dark … there’s the Dollz Theatre – with its cabaret and burlesque.

For our Landscape of the Month, we have something different.  M0lly Dench shares the location of ten very special sims, each guaranteed to give you a different and very memorable Valentine experience!  Will your favourite be on her visiting list?  Read the article and find out!

Our Designer of the Month is the recently-returned Zasa Rossini, now opening her own extremely lovely sim – Dans La Montagnes.  And Zasa has designed the very pretty townhouse that is on offer as our Star Prize … if you can complete this month’s Treasure Hunt!  There are a lot of entries … but one group of those should be easier to find than the rest; Qwis Greenwood will be spilling the beans on that on our blog over the coming month!

Plus we have news of a very exciting new project from Second Life.  We are starting an initiative to mentor new designers from their first attempts at creation through to becoming successful entrepreneurs.  Over the coming year, our chosen pathfinders will be advised and mentored by some of the top designers in Second Life – as well as by other mentors who can advise on related aspects of creating a Second Life business. Read the article to find out how YOU could become a Pathfinder – and more about how this exciting project will be developed.

Jvstin Tomorrow visits the world of SL Shakespeare, and Kaye Robbiani shows you how to create a romantic garden.  There’s an article from Crap Mariner on his Music ISL Project, and from Gwen Carillon on concerns about Content Theft.

Plus articles to smooth our Second Lives from Qwis Greenwood and Annechen Lowey, while Nika Dreamscape tells us about some great bargains to be had!

Our team of talented photographers bring you some of the most gorgeous design eye candy in *Second Life*!

And you can learn about the lucky winner of last month’s prize.

All this – plus Charity News from Coughran Mayo, News from the Grid … and more!

So how can I get Prim Perfect?

Treasure Hunt
Prim Perfect Issue 15 - Feb 2009: Treasure Hunt

If you prefer to read the magazine online but not inworld, there are choices. Firstly, there’s the wonderful Calaméo system, which allows you to moves smoothly through the pages, giving you the feeling of reading a real magazine. You’ll find Issue 15 here – and please do leave a comment!

But, if you like to download your magazines to read as you commute to work, or in the bath, or wherever, you can also obtain a standard pdf for downloading and printing.

It is also available through XStreet (just search on either site for Prim Perfect). This will deliver you a copy in the form of a Thinc book that you can rez and read inworld.

Another inworld option is to buy from our inworld vendors (located at various stores). Sometimes we have had problems with these, but you can help! If you see a vendor still selling an earlier issue, contact primperfect@gmail.com, and we’ll send someone to update it.

We also have subscribe-o-matic kiosks throughout Second Life (these are taking over from our older vendors) – so you can just click to subscribe.  You’ll be sent a copy of the latest issue, and then you’ll receive your issues regularly!

Or you can have it delivered to you each month as a Thinc Book, by joining the Prim Perfect Readers group inworld. It costs nothing to join and, apart from delivering the magazine each month, we won’t overload you with chat or messages!

In addition to delivering the Thinc Book version of the magazine, you’ll also get a link to the online Calaméo version of the magazine, so you’ll be able to access that too.
