Due to it’s popularity and success, Treet TV has had the good sense to install ‘The Luminous Lens: Photo Abstractions by PJ Trenton’ just outside the Designing Worlds studio at Northpoint. The exhibit of these ethereal photographic canvases, which was originally at the Tricia Aferdita Gallery in Avalon, will be on display in the courtyard at least through May.
When I wrote PJ Trenton’s Ekphrasis back in March, I had no inkling of the fascinating project I was about to embark on. Our little experiment of his letting me title his works transformed into a full-blown exhibition catalogue, which was launched as a book in SL earlier this month, but which we have now made available as a PDF on Calameo
As we all like any excuse for a good party, both the opening of the re-installation and the launch of the final version of the catalogue online will be celebrated Friday evening from 6 -8pm SLT at Northpoint Studios. Dublin DJ Gwen Carillon (an incredible artist in her own right!) will be spinning an eclectic mix of dance favourites, heavily weighted on the 80s side. We hope you will join us!
