Designing Worlds has a new show out today streaming live at 2pm SLT Monday 22nd August – and we’ll be gathering in the studio in Northpoint for a viewing party too!
One of the discussions that Saffia hosted at Second Life’s Eighth Birthday celebrations was with the huge and very enthusiastic Dr Who community in Second Life. Learning that Hands of Omega, makers of some of the most beautiful TARDIS machines, was celebrating its fifth anniversary, Saffia and Elrik (who both grew up as Dr Who fans) visited Sen Pixie and learned more about how these beautiful machines work within Second Life.

And we also talked to Oolon Sputnik and Terry Lightfoot about Dr Who roleplay within Second Life. (Oolon and Terry have a splendid TARDIS of their own – the Etheric Travelling Cabinet – which featured in the June 2008 Issue of Prim Perfect as Readers’ Home of the Month.)

This show was filmed by Laslo Laslopantomik Yao, to whom many thanks for stepping in!
The Designing Worlds show starts at 2pm SLT, but you should be in our Northpoint studios by 1.30pm at the very latest to make sure of getting a seat. Or – if you can’t attend in person – tune in at 2pm SLT on Monday for the live show – where you can now chat with other audience members and even some of the participants during the show – or catch it later in the week on our shows page on the Treet.tv web site.
