We’re launching the new season with a visit to the fabulous Flying Tigers – part of a series of sims based around the Second World War and aerial combat. We’ll be exploring their training and their aircrafts, seeing stunt flying, a re-creation of an important historical battle, and visiting their beautiful re-creation of the Monument to the Fighters of the Second World War in Washington DC.

It makes for a fascinating show – so do come and join us at 2pm!

Or – if you can’t attend in person – tune in at 2pm SLT on Monday for the live show on http://treet.tv/live – where you can now chat with other audience members and even some of the participants during the show – or catch it later in the week on our shows page on the Treet.tv web site at http://treet.tv/shows/designingworlds – our very own version of the iPlayer!

The Flying Tigers are also planning a Virtual World War 2 Conference to be held in Second Life – something that they are planning as a first of an annual event. The Conference will be held in association with Virtual Pioneers, one of the ISTE groups, who will be the educational partner. This event, which will be held in the World War 2 themed SL Flying Tigers’ Sims, will take place May 19th to May 20th, 2012 and include sessions on a variety of WW2 topics, including WW2 Aviation, WW2 Memorials, and the Holocaust. There is a call for proposals at the website [ http://bit.ly/IipDTv ]. For further inquiries please message jessii2009 Warrhol in world.
